OCEAN ACCESS
“It’s not about learning to Dive…You are dealing with misconceptions, you are dealing with what was presented to you about the ocean and so you have to go through those stereotypes and those barriers and break them everyday.”

| how do we facilitate ocean access? |
NEWF currently facilitates the largest Ocean Access Program for African Scientists, Conservationists and Storytellers.
Dive Labs facilitate certified open water, advanced, freediving, and divemaster training programs aimed at providing access and opportunity to documentary storytellers, scientists and conservationists. These internationally accredited qualifications offer the opportunity to emerging and professional African talent to elevate their marine life storytelling and conservation careers, and to be part of a competitive industry that is still under-represented.
