PRAGNA PARSOTAM-kok

Pragna Parsotam-Kok is a South African storyteller, film and television producer, and a National Geographic Explorer. Rooted in her love for wild spaces, Parsotam-Kok serves as the co-founder and executive director of Nature, Environment & Wildlife Filmmakers (NEWF), a community-centric organization that aims to remove barriers, and build capacity for African nature, environment and wildlife visual storytellers. Through its mission, NEWF enables access, supports inclusion, and fosters a culture of equity. Parsotam-Kok graduated with a degree in social science from University of KwaZulu-Natal majoring in culture, communication, media and performance studies.
