eKhaya, Awakening New Depths on World Oceans Day

🎬 Production: Silindile ‘Sli’ Mbuyazi
🎥 Cinematography and Post-Production: Chisomo Kawaga

🌊 What if you could build a home for your dream?

From dreaming about building a community swimming pool, to building a home where stories, learning and fun come together - Sli’s heart for her community guides so much of what she does. Today together with her daughter Akhona Ngobese (open water certified), Assistant Dive Instructor Khosi Mthembu, Divemaster-in-training Husna Amimu and Cinematographer Chisomo Kawaga; Sli hosted learners from a few local schools to celebrate World Oceans Day at eKhaya Storytelling and Research Centre - and along their local Sodwana Bay Coasts.

In a fun day of programming, they got to immerse in the ocean and underwater world using all their senses for short screenings, an underwater tour in VR, creative colouring pages from Bahari Yetu, a fun splash in the pool time AND exploring Sodwana Bays fascinating rocky shores and natural tidal pools perfect for snorkelling.

Happy World Oceans Day from Sodwana Bays young ocean adventurers!
