Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) update
In light of recent developments linked to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), NEWF is constantly in discussion with our partners about the impacts on the NEWF Congress 2020, N.E.W Pitch Competition and Wild Women Media Lab. We are carefully considering any decisions that might need to be taken.
The health and wellbeing of attendees and participants is our paramount concern and we continue to follow the recommendations of national and international public health authorities concerning the coronavirus (COVID-19).
We will announce any changes that may take place.
NEWF CONGRESS
Registration for the NEWF Congress is still scheduled to open in March 2020, although there is a possibility that the NEWF Congress will be postponed to later in the year. In the unlikely event that the NEWF Congress is cancelled by NEWF due to coronavirus or any other force majeure, the registration fees will be fully reimbursed (not reimbursed: bank transfers fees and any other expense related to the registration process).
WILD WOMEN MEDIA LAB
The Wild Women Media Lab is scheduled to take place in May 2020. Due to COVID-19 we have limited eligible applications and participation to South Africa ONLY. Should the global Coronavirus status change significantly over the next month we will open the Lab to include applications from SADC countries to begin with and then to all countries within the African continent.
